Do they accept checks, and if so, are they made out to BC/EFA? Sorry for the silly question, but I've never been to a show during one of these fundraisers.

Yes, they do accept checks. I spoke with a young woman who had done the photo op and her credit card had been declined because she hadn't notified her CC company she was traveling. She was shocked (and very happy) that they were willing to accept her out-of-state check for $1,500.
