The biggest news on Broadway last night, besides Jude Law’s stunning debut in “Hamlet,” is that Kate Winslet and Hugh Jackman have been making short film together. Shhhh. It’s a secret. No one knows what it is or why they’re doing it. Maybe it will become clearer now. Just a weird note, because Winslet would be perfect in the film version of “A Steady Rain,” the play in which Jackman is now appearing with Daniel Craig on Broadway. I’m just sayin’…
Yes it's true. It was on a thread here a couple months ago. If I can find it I'll post a link. It was a movie with 5 or 6 short stories and they were one of the stories. There was only a couple days of shooting scheduled and I forget the dates.
I read somewhere that a walk-on cameo in this short was up for charity auction. Peter Farrelly is supposed to assemble the short bits into a movie.

You and a friend (over 18) will join movie director PETER FARRELLY in New York on October 5 and 6 as extras in his new comedy short starring HUGH JACKMAN and KATE WINSLET. You'll meet Hugh and Kate, and Peter will offer you a behind-the-scenes look at his irreverent movie-making style. Producer CHARLIE WESSLER and Peter create their own riff on the 1977 cult hit, "Kentucky Fried Movie," with a series of 24 comedy shorts that will be compiled into a feature-length film. Yes that was the thread and as Ellen showed it was mentioned as part of the contest that someone did win. Since the article Krissy noted was on the 7th I guess they already filmed their parts.
Hi Everybody ! I'm french so, I'm sorry for my bad english... Do you have any informations about this project with Kate Winslet ? I'm a big fan of these two fabulous actors... This project is true or this is a rumor ? It's very weird that there are no pics of the set... The short movie was shooting in NYC, and nobody has take pics of the set ?
I hope there will be more informations of the project very soon since I'm very excited to see them together in a movie...

It is listed on IMDB as "Untitled Peter Farrelly/Charles Wessler Project (2010)". Hugh & Kate are the only names mentioned so far. They did their scenes in a hotel in New York city reportedly on October 5 & 6.
Your French is very good, don't worry ! Thanks for these informations ! It's too bad we haven't pics of the set ! So, Hugh and Kate filmed in a hotel ? It would be great if they shooted many short films and not only one ! I'm so happy they stars in a movie together... I realy like them and I realized that there is a good alchimy between both !
I had completely forgotten of this movie. I think we all did! But ladies, I was on imdb and found out the movie is in post-production and the cast updated: Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, Gerard Butler are listed. Plus the guy who stars in the TV series 'Monk'. There's still no title for the movie or release date. Anyway, that's cool! Except for 'Snow Flower' and possibly 'Avon Man' there's one more Hugh movie to wait for in 2010!
