Hugh and Ava are briefly featured on tonight's TMZ, about 8 minutes into the show. He's carrying her on his back, supposedly on her way to school. At least that's what the TMZ staff surmise; I think it's too soon for school and probably a crafts camp or somesuch.

I don't know. The kids here in Tennessee started school a couple of weeks ago, and my nephew who's in North Carolina started school on Tuesday. So some schools have already started. Whether the ones in NY have or not, I don't know.

A Celebrity Baby Blog used a still photo from the footage with a caption about Dad taking her to day camp. I don't recall any schools in NYC ever starting before September.

yesterday, starts around 10 minutes. It's footage from when he was walking with deb and ava before the climate week ceremony.

It´s almost painful to get through that crap. Who the hell are the people there? I didn´t know anyone (except maybe Mariska Hargitay - or whatever her name is).
And they still didn´t learn to ask normal questions...

The questions they ask are pathetic. I mean, if you're gonna hound him almost 24/7, at least have something new or interesting to ask him...

TMZ is pathetic so that's why they ask pathetic questions. Too bad we have to endure 8-9 min of their B.S. just to see 2 min of Hugh being asked stupid questions by them! What's wrong with this picture? And he's always so nice no matter how lame they are. I'm not even that nice and I'm just watching these bozos!

Seems Deb is now well enough known to merit her own coverage on TMZ. Remember the other day when paps captured her and Ava (in that stroller again) on walk with the grandparents in tow? It appears there was a little bit more to the story on last night's show. Deb starts to race with Hugh's stepmom, Ava shouts, "Stop, Mommy," Deb does indeed stop, and Ava tumbles out of the stroller. She was OK.

Then the pap asks Deb what advice she might have for Tiger Woods. They loved her answer--she's one clever cookie--and so did I: "He needs to watch his swing." Good one, Deb!

Well. Hugh has always said, every funny thing that's ever come out of his mouth, he's stolen from her.

God. She should have been a much bigger star. Beauty. Both dramatic and comedic abilities. I've never been able to figure out how Toni Collette and Rachel Griffith managed to make it out of Australia and become name actresses throughout the world (with Oscar nominations to boot), but Deborrah-lee Furness couldn't do it. It's baffling. I'm guessing she slept with the wrong people. IT'S A JOKE!!!...sorta.

And nothing against Toni and Rachel. They're both wonderful. But so is Deb. She should have made it.

Damn shame.

P.S. I hate that TMZ. I've seen too much this past year following the other one (and who might that be? ). It's creepy and infuriating. From what I've seen of Hugh and Deb, they handle it with grace and dignity. But you gotta know...they hate it. Had to stop watching that sh*t. Made my stomach knot. There's just some stuff I don't need to be peeking in at.

And just so you know (and please don't get mad 'cause you have to know that I'm speaking the truth)...

Everytime Hugh and his family get tagged and people run over to the website and/or watch it on tv, those hits on that website and those healthy ratings, keep that bullseye right smack dab in the middle of their foreheads. There's an immorality to this whole thing; stealing moments of other people's lives for the mere entertainment of others. Famous people's private lives are not movies playing out for us to be watching. It's wrong and everybody know its.

End of lecture. I'll say no more, but I won't apologize for it. I've taken this issue on before around here and gotten my a$$ in a sling for it too.

Now where the hell did I put that sling?

TMZ is a necessary (for Hugh news) evil--and sometimes--when they make fun of celebs who act like supreme jerks--a guilty pleasure. Luckily I'm not "signed on as a Nielsen family," as a certain hot-headed, hot-blooded fictitious Chicago cop said for a few months on Broadway, so I don't contribute to its ratings. I only very rarely visit the website--pretty much only when I've missed a Hugh story on the TV version. Truthfully, that's the primary reason I watch TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood or any of their ilk.

I agree, Barb, that Deb should have become an international star. She has that verve and sparkle. Unfortunately, unless you're a Meryl Streep or a Judi Dench, directors order even size 2 actresses to get down to a zero or lose the part. Deb's a sassy, healthy-looking woman, not a delicate sylph. So she's smart to dabble in directing, too. Hope she makes it big in that sphere.

Don't mind me. Sometimes I just get up on my high horse (it's what we holier than thou types do every once in awhile )

I guess it's just that I've been watching that kid (and at this point, saying his name is just redundant. everyone knows who I mean) be chased and tortured by them for nearly a year now and I just can't bear to look at it anymore. Of anyone.

He was making a movie on the streets of NY last summer and EVERY DAY hundreds of papps showed up to snap his every move WHILE HE WAS WORKING!
But he somehow managed to elude them at night. But then one night...they found him. He was coming out of a resturant with his manager and his best friend and the look on that kid's face. In a pleading, shaking voice he asked them..."how did you find me?" They said they followed him from his hotel (he'd had to move four times in a seven week period to dodge them). He damn near fell apart and his manager was having kittens trying to get him into a cab before it became an incident. It was a horrible thing to watch that kid start to crumble.

Another time (still in NY) he was filmed going into and coming out of a hotel, holding hands with a beautiful blond girl. When they came back out, they seperated and TMZ started in on him...'who's the babe?' 'are you sleeping with her?' He finally turned and said...'guys, she's my sister and I don't appreciate you talking about her like that.' And yes, she was his older sister, Lizzy.

He handles the fans beautifully, but the papps and Twitter have turned his life upside down. He absolutely loaths Twitter because he says he can't stay in one place for than a half hour before the word spreads as to where he is.

We should all be grateful that Hugh has never had to deal with this kind of this sh*t on this level.

Anyway...said I wasn't going to apologize for saying anything about it, but...I am. I don't want to offend anyone here. I do apologize.

P.S. Maybe one day -over on that Rob thread in OT- I'll explain to you all why this kid has gotten under my skin (being pretty ain't enough to do it for me). It started at Comic Con 2008. Kathy and I got our tickets in the hopes that Hugh would unexpectedly show up (he did), but then we stumbled into the Twilight phenomenon and on that day...we watched the birth of a star. Something happened that day and that kid took a hold of my heartstrings and he's yet to let go. Afterward on a random chance I happened to be standing in the right place and I got to speak to him for a few minutes too.

If I get the time and if anyone is interested, I'll tell you what happened. If not, that's fine too.

TMZ are not too bad lately. I am not that naive to think that they took something from angry comments but maybe it was something else.
Hugh isn´t stupid, or Deb or anybody around him and I am pretty sure that Oscar is browsing the internet looking for what the media have to say about his dad. And then he finds some insulting posts about his mom - I can´t blame him that he is angry with paps.
And if he isn´t doing it now, he will start soon.

But TMZ is OK lately. I am not going to these sites when Hugh isn´t mentioned, there are too many unknown "famous" people who I have never heard about.
But I think morons like Perez and Ted Casablanca are much worse, like the site X17something. They keep insulting Deb, just because Hugh dares to love an older woman, who is smart and looks normal and isn´t the usual plastic babe paps just "love".
I wouldn´t mind the anonymous morons under these articles. They have no life and are insulting everybody but from most of these bloggers is it just throwing a dirt in a wrong direction.

And you're right, they're even worse. But whoever it was, I just can't watch any of it anymore. I find it reprehensible.

As far as I'm concerned, since the death of the Princess of Wales, they've all got blood on their hands. If not directly, then most definitely by association.

It would be nice if TMZ's coverage of Deb would boost awareness of her. Their viewers might check to see what movies she's done and find that "The Last of the Finest" seems to be showing up on cable lately.
