Finally found a spare minute today to call Telecharge. My account was still showing that I had booked over the limit, but when I explained the situation to the lady on the phone and gave her the name of the man I spoke to, she checked with him. When she came back on the phone he was in the process of releasing my tickets, and I had them within an hour or so.

Glad about your news, Kec.

I walked by the Schoenfeld today. They were putting up the electronic board atop the box office windows in the lobby. One more day 'til walk-up sales.

I have to call them. I bought ten tickets all for different days. I was charged for all of them and I have NOT received the last two tickets via email yet. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a problem with this.

Isn't there an *eight* ticket limit? That might be your problem. I purchased mine on July 11 and they have arrived "snail mail" in Wyoming.

A poster from ATC shares this info about the first day at the box office ( the real one, as someone calls it on that board Big Grin) --

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Was walking past the box office, and there were about 30-35 people in line at 10:30am---the BO opened today at 10am, purportedly. I overheard someone say that they were standing inline to get box seats-as they were ONLY avaialbe at the box office. What is the deal? Is that true, what price and I guess with a two character play, the boxes are not awful.

Anyway, most of those people looking really hot from the steambath we are experiencing in NYC.

Yes, Jo, they made it extremely difficult -- not to mention nerve-wracking! I was on hold with the lady for awhile yesterday and I thought I was going to have to re-explain myself, and was in the process of searching for my e-mail to Telecharge to read from (when I get stressed I'm not very articulate) when she came back to tell me it was ok.

JH4HJ, yes there is an 8 ticket limit. This is from Telecharge's page for the show that applies to Patty's situation;

quote:
If you are purchasing tickets for multiple performances, or for any Saturday evening, or any performance between October 9 - October 11; November 23 - November 29, a total of 8 tickets may be purchased per 30 day period. Tickets purchased which exceed these limits will be returned. Ticket limits are enforced per name, credit card account, billing address, phone number, IP address, and/or e-mail address. Certain types of seating may have a different ticket limit.

Patty, this may explain why you haven't received your last two tickets. You should call them sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the advice, I will do and keep you posted. I suspect an argument will ensue as my credit card has already been charged and the last set wasn't emailed and they can check when the others where printed out for example.

If I recall right, there were two succeeding ticket limit rules, one applicable for the AMEX pre-sale period ( which started on July 11) and another for the regular sale period ( which started on July 25). They were mutually exclusive.

From the original Tickets Information Page on Telecharge before the pre-sale.

quote:
Ticket Limit
A total of 8 tickets may be purchased during the presale period, per name, credit card account, billing address, phone number, IP address, and/or e-mail address. Tickets purchased which exceed this limit will be returned. Certain types of seating may have a different ticket limit. Note: Tickets are only available to American Express Cardholders during this period.

After the presale, the ticket limits are as follows: If you are purchasing tickets for a single performance (excluding any Saturday evening or any performance October 9 - October 11; November 23 - November 29) a total of 8 tickets may be purchased per 7 day period.

If you are purchasing tickets for multiple performances, or for any Saturday evening, or any performance between October 9 - October 11; November 23 - November 29, a total of 8 tickets may be purchased per 7 day period.

Tickets purchased which exceed these limits will be returned. Ticket limits are enforced per name, credit card account, billing address, phone number, IP address, and/or e-mail address. Certain types of seating may have a different ticket limit.

However the rule of 8 tickets for every 7 days for the regular sale was further amended to 30 days ( which is more restrictive).

Well I was NOT in those dates.....the tickets I appear to have been declined for are in Dec. BUT I ordered ten, clearly over the limit. I do wonder however, why they charged me for them!?

Did you order some from the pre-sale and some from the regular sale? That would allow you a maximum of 16 tickets ( 8 from the presale and 8 from the regular sale).

Hope it gets sorted out for you, Pattyliny.

I think Telecharge put the charges through for all ticket orders. Before printing and mailing, they check for those that went over the limit and cancel those - and they do it w/o notifying you. Most likely you'll have a credit on your card for those last two tickets. It was the verifying of limits that caused such a delay in mailing out tickets.

Pepper, they will notify you if your ticket order is cancelled. I got e-mails saying both my ticket orders were cancelled because they thought I was over the limit.
