It's certainly the kind of movie that's generally been Oscar bait. But since it hasn't even been filmed yet, I'm withholding judgment.

I am thinking positive. Hugh will be in this movie and it will be Oscar bait. I have high hopes for an Oscar win. Everyone is welcome to vote & make comments. Hugh Hugs, Nancy B

Selma or Hugh? )) I really doubt about Hugh's chances to win the Oscar, but the movie... I wish them to win, 'cos it's a fantastic story, it's real, interesting ,hard, expressive. But I think they would have more chances to win in 2009 when Obama was elected. And I agree with Jo that it's too early to say.. Hugh's character has a very spesial face, a secret what I think is very important for any role if you expect it to be noticed. I want to see him in a new dramatic type. And it'd be a great challenge for Hugh. So this project is my #1 in my wish-list of Upcoming projects. Sometimes I think that Hugh has already realaxed with all that Oscar stuff Oxana

I have heard that the script is very good and very accessible -- so let's hope that Lee Daniels and the first class actors he has in the project will deliver! The Jim Clark role may not be one of the two leads ( LBJ and MLK), but he is in a key role during the bloody confrontations before and during the marches! JC does depict a very interesting and controversial character in the history of American civil rights events! This is going to be a definite departure from the roles that Hugh has taken on... And I thought his "Denny" was already quite a radical departure from his leading man or villain roles Jo

Oh... Denny. Of Course! But I thought about his movie-career only. If I could I'd ask him to stay in theatre for good.. He could be different every day as he'd been before. *hUrry houdini!* (c)Ellen Oxana
